Who runs this site

Nero Picks is written by Nero, a solo writer based in Japan. I have been writing about games and the gear around them since 2026 on a Japanese site, and this is the English version of that work.

How I write these guides

Most gear questions have an answer buried in a support page, a spec sheet, or a forum thread that nobody has put together in one place. That is the gap this site tries to fill.

• I cite the primary source whenever there is one: a manufacturer's support page, a publisher's announcement, a store listing.
• When the only evidence is a player report on a forum, I say so, and I link to it. A single report is not a fact.
• When something is unclear, the guide says it is unclear. I would rather print "the manufacturer does not say" than guess.
• I do not claim to have tested hardware I have not tested. If a guide is based on documentation and reported experience rather than my own hands, it says that.

No legal, medical, or financial advice. No politics. Just the gear question in front of you.
